I hope you're all doing well and enjoying this beautiful weather we are having. So, I thought I would share with you all the things I have been loving this month!
1.The Ordinary Serum Foundation - £5.75
I have been loving this love dewy, semi-matte, Light to medium coverage foundation as it really feels like you aren't wearing anything on your skin. I tend to hate wearing thicker consistency foundations, once the weather gets hotter as you can really feel it and it tends to cover over all of my freckles and warmth that the sun gives my skin. It's lighter but really buildable so it's amazing for this time of year. I also find that this foundation lasts on my skin all day (around 14 hours) and doesn't go patchy around my nose, which is the area I find that foundation always comes off of first, especially when it's hotter. It also contains an SPF 15 to protect your skin for the summer weather. There are 21 shades ranging from very fair to very deep and they even do in-between shades to suit your undertone and its £5.75 which is an absolute bargain for a really good quality foundation.
2. Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle - £26.50
Now this is highlighter is an oldie, but I recently found it in my makeup collection and started using it and I am in love once again. Its has quite a pearlescent look to it, that really blends into the skin natural tan, which gives you a lovely sunkissed glow to your skin. This highlighter is a baked highlight, so it has more warm tones that really make you look naturally radiant. I am obsessed! (There is also a sale on Mac Cosmetics at the moment making it £21.20!)
3. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Targeted Sun Defense Stick SPF 50 High Protection - £15.00
Around this time of year, I tend to get very dry burnt quite easily due to being a pale skinned redhead. I have very sensitive skin also and I always get burnt lips when I am in the sun. So I am always on the lookout for a good sunscreen and this is definitely my go-to for my face especially. It can be used on your nose, lips, ears and even scars to help shield from the burning and aging effects of UVA and UVB rays for healthier-looking skin. I am a big lover of Elizabeth Arden's 8-hour range and this contains the hydrating Eight Hour formula with a high SPF 50 which is incredible. It is water-resistant and non-sticky, which really soothes and protects skin for up to 8 hours. If rubbed in well it also doesn't leave that white casting on your lips too. I would highly recommend!
4. Benefit Hoola Bronzer - £27.00
This Bronzer is my all-time favourite, I use the original Hoola shade and the colour so nice against my skin tone. It's not too orangey, which really compliments against my hair colour also. They do 4 different shades, so there is a shade for all skin colours. It's a brightening matte formula that really blends nicely into the skin when applied, giving you healthy sunkissed skin for even the palest of skin types like me. This works so nicely with the Mac Mineralised Skin Finish as the warm tones really melt together well for the ultimate bronzed to the god's skin. This is a must-have, if you don't own it already.
5. Beauty Bay 42 Colour Nudes Palette - £23.00
I love wearing a bronze eye on day to day basis and this is the palette for that. This palette contains 42 different shades from soft matte formulas to shimmer pressed pigments and they all work so cohesively together. All of the shadows are really pigmented and really easy to blend out, which is mad considering its only £23. I would recommend applying a base on the eyelid, like the Plouise base or concealer to pack on the shimmer shadows as this will really make them pop and you will get the full effect. There are so many variations of looks to can create with this palette for day and night. The palette is also vegan friendly and contains a big mirror inside, which is super handy and you get eyeshadows too, such a bargain!
